On Monday Verona 8th grade toured Scott Regional Technology Center in Monett to learn about all the programs they offer.

1st grade has been so busy, we haven't had time to post! In January, we welcome 2026 and had a ROAR cookie celebration!!

Wildcats, the fire department cleared the district buildings. Thank you for your patience and cooperation. There will be girls' basketball practice, and the boys will play Hurley still at 5:30.

Wildcats, a fire alarm has gone off in the high school building, there is no evidence of a fire. However, fire trucks are in route to check out the building. Students have been evacuated for their own safety. Staff are working to get the students their personal belongs so we can send them home. The busses could be delayed a little while we work to get all students loaded. Thank you for your patience while we sort through this.

3rd grade was happy to be back at school! We learned about Groundhog Day, and spent some time outside observing our shadows. We had fun in math using Cheese-its to learn about area.

💜 Important Weather Update – Snow Day Tomorrow 💛 We truly appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we closely monitored road conditions today. Our hope was that the sunshine and warmer temperatures would help clear more of the farm roads south of Hwy 60. Unfortunately, the roads did not improve as much as we had anticipated. Thanks to the hard work of our road crews and community members, the school and many of our roads are now driveable. However, several southern routes in the hills and curves remain unsafe for our buses to navigate. In addition, many roads are still slick and too unpredictable for parents and beginning drivers. Because student safety is always our top priority, tomorrow will be a Snow Day. We also want to take a moment to thank our students for their incredible effort during the past three AMI Days. Your hard work, perseverance, and Wildcat pride did not go unnoticed! 🐾💜 Because of your dedication, tomorrow will be a true snow day—no AMI work assigned. Thank you again for your understanding, support, and cooperation. We are sorry for any confusion this change of plans may have caused. We are grateful for our Verona families and community, and we look forward to welcoming our Wildcats back on Monday!
