As we are moving into the allergy and cold/flu season we need to be more aware of germs and how they spread.
Influenza A and B viruses travel through the air in droplets when someone with the infection coughs, sneezes or talks. You can inhale the droplets directly. Or you can pick up the germs from an object—such as a telephone or computer keyboard—and then transfer them to your eyes, nose or mouth.
Wearing a mask while having symptoms (ex. coughing or sneezing) may help block respiratory droplets carrying germs and prevent the spread of germs from the hands to the mouth.
We would like to recommend to students and staff that if you are having symptoms such as coughing, sneezing or runny nose that you wear a mask. By wearing a mask we may help prevent illness from spreading to other.

This Saturday, November 13, is World Kindness Day. The Great Kindness Challenge Week is the last week in January. Random Acts of Kindness Day is on February 17, 2022. There are exactly 100 days between November 10 and February 17. Verona Elementary Student Counsel (VESTCO) is going to offer a challenge to all students to complete 100 random acts of kindness over the next 100 days. That is a BIG challenge, especially because this is to be done AT HOME. Your child should have brought home a calendar yesterday, so they can get started. If you have questions, ask your student(s) teachers. Thank you so much for your help with this challenge!

4th grade was honored by having veterans Mr. Gary and Mr. Ralph come and talk to us today!

Thank You to all of the Veterans that were able to make it today! Your sacrifice for our country is much appreciated!
