Some of the activities for the Great Kindness Challenge Week include each elementary classroom's display of kindness acts, completed throughout the week. Many are off to a "kind" start, as shown by the blooming tree of Ms. Vargas' preschool class to the brick wall being built by Mrs. Trenary's 6th grade class. Can't wait to see how many more will added by the end of the week!

The Great Kindness Challenge Week was kicked off today at Verona Elementary School. Members of student council, as well as other students, made posters to help advertise the event. This is a worldwide initiative to promote kindness, and this year's theme is "Kids for Peace ".
La Semana del Gran Desafío de la Bondad comenzó hoy en la Escuela Primaria Verona. Los miembros del consejo estudiantil, así como otros estudiantes, hicieron carteles para ayudar a publicitar el evento. Ashton Ratliff, 5th & 6th Grade Science Teacher, was recognized as the winner of the New Teacher Award from the Science Teachers of Missouri.
Homecoming is this Friday! Game time is 6:00pm followed by the Homecoming Dance!
