The Verona R7 School District is proud to host the Class 1, District 9 Volleyball Tournament this year! Attached to this post will be several items that will help ensure a smooth process. On Tuesday, 10/20 Verona will be hosting the first round of district volleyball, as well as a previously scheduled set of junior high basketball games. To help with ticketing and flow, we will utilize 2 separate entrances. For the JH basketball game, we will utilize the HS front entrance (by the library) and will utilize normal ticketing practices, $3 for adults, $2 for students, over 65 free and passes accepted. For the volleyball district we will utilize the normal athletic entrance for the new gym. ALL tickets must be purchased electronically for this tournament. You will go to mshsaa.org, click on the ticketing icon (see image), then click Girls Volleyball, Class 1, and complete the process. You will need a ticket for anyone over the age of 6, and no passes are accepted. This will be the same process for everyone night of the tournament you plan to attend. Please call the HS office if you need any help, and we will gladly assist. We are proud to be hosting and look forward to a large crowd to cheer on our teams!

Verona Elementary would like to invite you into our building to see the progress that you voted for!

We had a great week in 4th grade! We had fun learning why pumpkins float. We also practiced perimeter and area using manipulatives. Hands-on learning is so much fun!

Our flat people are off on their adventures! 4th grade walked to the post office today to get them mailed. They are so excited to start getting pictures! Thanks to everyone who helped with this project!

Verona would love to honor our graduates who chose to serve our country. We will be creating a board similar to this example. If you or a loved one graduated from Verona and served in the armed forces, and are willing to share; please send a picture with name, class of, rank, and years of service (optional) to central office. If you have any questions please contact Melody Whitehead at mwhitehead@veronar7.net.

XC Saturday Oct 10 at East Newton. Both finished with their best times of the year!

Apologies, but there is a tree down across route 2 path. The driver is trying to find a workaround, but pick ups will be delayed. Please call the offices if you need any assistance.

The 4th grade class got their Flat Stanley people packaged and ready to mail. Thank you to Mrs. Anne for teaching us about the postage machine and letting us scan our own envelopes. We will be visiting the post office very soon to send them on their adventures!

The volleyball dress up theme for October 13th is Orange Out. Wearing orange shows support for kidney cancer awareness.

Putting in the miles. Taking on the hills. Getting stronger together. 💪🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

Our XC crew is working hard—one stride at a time! Proud of their effort and determination. 👏

Our 1st graders had a FANTASTIC time yesterday with our high school FFA program! 💚💛 They learned so much about agriculture and how our farmers and FFA members help feed our communities. 🌽🚜 We are so thankful for this fun, hands-on learning experience and for our high school FFA students for sharing their knowledge with us! 💚 #FFA #AgricultureEducation #GrowingFutureLeaders
