Verona Business Students Win Sweepstakes At NEO

VERONA BUSINESS STUDENTS CAPTURE

SWEEPSTAKES TROPHY AT NEO

 

            On March 8, Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) hosted the annual Business & Technology Day. The competition brings in high school and middle school students to participate in a range of competitions. Overall team winners for the Business contests were first place, Verona High School; second place, Seneca High School; and third place, McDonald County High School.

            Following are the student event results:   Accounting—Jorge Lara, 1st Place; Austin Valdez, 2nd Place. Computer Applications—Jorge Lara, 1st Place; Rachael Lietz, 3rd Place. Computer Concepts—Rachael Lietz, 3rd Place. General Business—Austin Valdez, 2nd Place. Personal Finance—Ashley Freiburger, 2nd Place; Rachael Lietz, 3rd Place. Middle School Keyboarding—Violet Tosh, 2nd Place

            Students tested their skills in the areas of Keyboarding, Computer Applications, Computer Concepts, General Business, Job Interview & Personal Finance.  Students were awarded first, second, and third place in each event. In addition, plaques were awarded for first place along with a $600 scholarship to NEO.

            Mrs. Susan Senninger, Business & Technology Instructor, accompanied the students to the competition.
