National Junior Honor Society

National Junior Honor Society is an international organization that consists of chapters in middle or junior high schools for grades 7-8. The NJHS was founded in 1929. It is by invitation only. Students with a grade point average of 3.34 are invited to apply. The application process looks at their academic standing (GPA), as well as, citizenship, service, leadership, scholarship, and character. Students are selected by a faculty council and are required to maintain a high grade point average and take part in community service.
